Getting paid

Revenue & payouts

The Revenue tab is your business at a glance: what came in this month, what’s outstanding, and where it came from. Numbers are recomputed every time you load the page — no “refresh report” button.

The KPI tiles#

Four tiles across the top of the Revenue page summarise the period you've selected (this month / last 12 months / all-time / custom range):

Net earned
After refunds and platform fees — what actually landed in your account for the period.
Lessons taught
Confirmed lessons in the period.
Invoices issued
Count of invoices raised in the period (paid + outstanding).
Outstanding (right now)
Total of all sent invoices currently unpaid — point-in-time, not period-scoped.

Breakdown by student & subject#

Below the chart, two tables: top students and top subjects in the period. Use them to spot trends — which subject is growing, which student is your highest-value, whether one parent is starting to dominate your book.

When am I paid out?#

Stripe holds money for a short period after a card is charged and then batches it into a payout to your bank account. By default, payouts land every Friday, covering Monday-to-Friday payments from the previous week.

Refunds and tax#

Refunds are subtracted in the period the refund happened, not the period the original payment landed in — this matches how HMRC expects you to account for them on a cash basis.
